“Land and sea”, the title already refers to Brittany, the ancient land of Armorique, Victor Hugo’s “foaming rock”.
This film is a portrait of Brittany, not an inventory; it is not a review of famous sites, but a day in the life of Brittany, a day that could be this one as well as that one, a day that could be yesterday and yesterday as well as today, a timeless day that dawn slowly illuminates and that dusk will make disappear, that is punctuated by the ebb and flow of the repeated beating of the waves.
On the landscape of forever, from the grey of the night to the grey of another night, the light opens, unfolds and closes the range of its colours.
